What is a FemiLift?
Alma™ Lasers developed the FemiLift™ Fractional CO2 laser to treat women with mild to moderate feminine health issues without surgery or hormone-based therapies. Why do we offer this vaginal rejuvenation treatment at CosmeticGyn Center in Dallas, TX? Because the FemiLift Fractional CO2 laser can help to treat:
- Vaginal tissue atrophy/laxity
- Stress urinary incontinence (SUI)
- Painful sexual intercourse
- Postmenopausal indications
- Post-delivery rehabilitation
- Vaginal dryness and itchiness
- Recurring urinary tract infections
At CosmeticGyn Center, we offer this noninvasive laser solution for women with these special conditions that affect feminine health. The laser's energy stimulates a healing response within the tissue, which causes a deep thermal effect for vaginal collagen remodeling. Our board-certified gynecologist and cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Otto Huertas, performs FemiLift laser treatments (often in as little as 15 – 30 minutes) to help tighten the delicate genital tissue for better feminine health. We invite you to learn more about FemiLift at a vaginal rejuvenation consultation in our Dallas, TX office.

Who Qualifies for FemiLift?
Do you need to strengthen your pelvic floor? Your doctors may have suggested that you perform Kegel muscle exercises to tighten your vaginal areas. Women concerned about feminine wellness issues that can't be treated with Kegel exercises, at-home remedies, or other interventions may qualify for the FemiLift at CosmeticGyn Center. Furthermore, for women who may need surgery later in life for vaginal rejuvenation, the FemiLift can provide something far more efficient than just performing Kegel exercises. To be an excellent candidate, you should have a routine gynecologic exam if you haven't had one recently. If you have symptoms of vaginal discharge or infections, these issues should be addressed prior to your FemiLift procedure. If you have a history of herpes, we can prescribe you medication to prevent an outbreak before and after treatment sessions.
The FemiLift Technique
FemiLift is performed in our office by Dr. Huertas. As this treatment does not cause pain, there's generally no need for sedatives or anesthesia. Dr. Huertas will insert the FemiLift probe, which as 360-degree rotation capability, into your vagina. This probe delivers thermal energy to your vaginal tissue for less than 30 minutes. When the treatment is over, he'll gently remove the probe.
FemiLift Frequently Asked Questions
How many FemiLift sessions are needed to see results?
Each patient has their own treatment goals. Most women feel improvement after one session.
Three sessions spaced out four weeks apart often delivers the best possible results.
What will I experience after my FemiLift session?
There is only one restriction on activity after a FemiLift treatment: avoid inserting anything into your vagina for three days.
Can I get a FemiLift if I had a hysterectomy?
Yes. FemiLift does not require you to have a cervix or uterus to be effective because it exclusively targets the walls of the vaginal canal.
Can I get a FemiLift if my skin is too dark for facial laser treatments?
Yes. Unlike skin on other parts of your body, vaginal skin contains no melanin. This means that vaginal skin can be treated safely without burning.
