What To Expect During Hormone Replacement Therapy
Dr. Huertas can insert your customized hormone replacement dosage via pellet right here in our Dallas, TX office. Using a local anesthetic, Dr. Huertas will inject the pellets underneath the skin on one of your upper buttocks. Every 4 – 6 months, you’ll need to come back to our office to have new pellets inserted for continuous coverage. Blood hormone tests will be required consistently to make sure your hormones are balanced with the right dosage.
What Is Recovery Like After Hormone Replacement Therapy?
Following hormone replacement therapy, it could take a few weeks for you to notice the full effects of your treatment. Once these effects start to take place, you can expect to have an alleviation of your previous symptoms that lasts for 4 – 6 months until a new pellet needs to be inserted. While minor side effects can be normal, feel free to contact our Dallas, TX facility if you have any concerns after your treatment.
Is hormone replacement therapy safe?
